U221.   WWII German Army Panzer Officer's New Style White Summer Tunic. This is a great example of the 2nd Pattern White Summer Tunic for a Captain in Panzer Regiment 7... This Tunic has about a size 38 chest and has an 8-button front and the stand-and-fall collar that distinguishes it from the first pattern.  The pink piped shoulder boards are the T-type that slip through a tailored opening... The 7th Panzer Regiment fought as part of the 10th Panzer Division and saw action in Poland, France and Tunisia (where it went into captivity). The person I got this tunic from got it from a basement were it sat since the Wars end, the white had been turned yellow from conditions in this basement, so he soaked it in woolite and clorex to remove the yellow stains and return the white color, which causes it to glow under a black lite. This tunic is correct and is an original WWII period rare 2nd pattern issue, but the way it was cleaned gives a black light glow, but the scarceness of this original tunic makes it well worth getting........$1,700.00
