U-A216. WWII
U.S. Army Air Corps, A2 Flight Jacket of T/Sgt J.L. Arendt,
his name is inside the jacket just below the QM tag which is still
intact. He was a Waist Gunner and then later an Enlisted Bombardier. He
flew 30 missions in 1944 as shown in the Documented research.
((Jacket is for the 303rd Bomb Group)) T/Sgt Arendt Flew
many
missions with the 303rd Bomb Group, but he flew as a Gunner and later
an Enlisted
Bombardier in a number of different planes in the 303rd Group, So since
he did not have one plane and one crew that was his, He painted the the
motto of the 303rd Group on his Jacket which was ((Hell's Angles
--- painting is the words Hell's Angles with a star and over the
wording is a large painted Bomber)) another very rare thing about this
jacket is the fact that it has the Goldfish Clut insignia painted on
the front of it. He received the designation of a member of the
Goldfish Clut when his B-17 had to ditch off the coast of Scotland ( To
receive the Goldfish Clut designation one had to servive a wet water
ditching)... This is a Great WWII ID'd painted back A2 Jacket with some
reserch... A real piece of our History.... ..$2,900.00
