version)...Hitler had hoped to award these to Olympic Athletes for
winning events. But the Olympic committee told him he could not do
that, only the olympic committee could award medals. So he ending
up awarding them to Germans who he felt did the most to help him make
the olympics in Germany a success..........$1,600.00
