coin-G58.  U.S.  1915-S One Dollar Gold coin from the Pan-Pacific international Exposition  -- Gala Worlds Fair to mark the opening of the Panama Canal by the USA, this World Fair was held in San Francisco and these Special Gold Dollar coins were minted at the San Francisco mint for the occasion  (This one is in an official grading case).....SOLD

coin-G56.  Rare Charlotte NC mint Civil War Era Gold Five Dollar coin....   In the early 1800s before the Civil War, Gold was found in North Carolina, to turn this NC gold into coins, the Charlotte NC mint was opened and minted only Gold coins, mostly $1 - $2 1/2 & $5  This mint had a very low mintage compaired to the other mints, Gold coins with the Charlotte mint  "C" are considered very Rare... This mint closed in 1861 at the start of the Civil War and never again opened, most of the "C" mint coins in the Southern banks were shipped to Europe to buy guns and supplies for the Confederate States and ended up being melted by the Europeans.  This coin is an 1851-C   $5 Gold piece, in fine to very fine.......$1,850.00
