recovered
from a Sunken Ship at City Point VA. Stock is broken, but all of this
musket is there and the date still can be made out....On Aug. 9th 1864
Confederate secret service agent John Maxwell, set off an explosiion on
a Union ammunition ship, sinking it an a number of others at City Point
Virginia...This musket is part of the relics recovered from that sunken
ammunition ship.......$950.00

" , there are no inter tins and one of the bottom buckles is missing.
The Flap is Embossed with a large U.S., all flaps and straps are
